A World Without Band of Brothers in Christ?

For those of you who know me well, you know I grew up incredibly well-loved, but that my family didn’t have a lot. There were five of us in a house with one shower my whole life. We had so much to be grateful for, but things always seemed to be sort of tough.

No one needs a sob story, and that’s not where this is going. In fact, if I shared the details, you’d probably tell me . . .

I won the mom lottery and I’d agree with a glowing face.

But my background did something to me that I’m struggling with now as much as ever. It made me hate asking for stuff.

Children unabashedly ask for things (and they should!), but I became hardened by years of hearing pain in the voices of those who loved me as they had to repeatedly tell me no. Eventually I just quit asking for things out of fear of rejection.

Now, praise God, it takes a lot to make me uncomfortable; but when it comes to asking for help, I still have a hard time not cringing. Yet I know that together we will accomplish way more than what any of us could do alone. And I know God has big plans for what He got started through Chuck. I also fully trust that “him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20.

Think about what the world might be like if you (or the person you know through this ministry) hadn’t gone through Band of Brothers…

Can you imagine, there are 13 million young men (18-24 years old) in America alone, and the majority of them will never get even a taste of discipleship. They need our help.

Will you join me in supporting Band of Brothers in Christ financially?

An annual or monthly contribution will help provide the discipleship training experience of a lifetime for guys like the old you and me. I know not everyone has a lot. 2 Corinthians 9:7 has helped me there and pray it will guide your heart too.

I don’t want to be dramatic about it, especially after seeing God show up big all year, but we still have a sizable gap to close; every contribution helps. I just can’t imagine a world without Band of Brothers in Christ, can you?
